Emissary is a Shopify app for what happens after a purchase order goes out. It works from your own Gmail or Outlook, shows you which suppliers haven't answered, and pulls the confirmed quantities, prices and ship dates out of the replies they send. You approve every email and every value before anything is recorded.

How it works

  1. Connect your mailbox

    Use the Gmail or Outlook account you already email suppliers from. Emissary finds the purchase orders in your sent mail, whichever app created them.

  2. Send POs from Shopify At launch

    Shopify's own purchase orders can't email your supplier. Emissary sends them from your address with the PO attached as a PDF, once you approve each one.

  3. Read the replies

    When a supplier answers, Emissary pulls out each line: item, quantity, price and ship date, including short and backordered lines. You check and confirm before anything is saved.

  4. Chase the quiet ones

    A worklist shows which suppliers haven't replied and for how long. Emissary drafts a follow-up; you approve it before it's sent.

Your suppliers don't have to do anything new: no portal, no links. They just reply to your email as they do now.

Pricing

$19 a month after a 14-day free trial. That includes 150 purchase orders a month; after that it's $0.15 per purchase order. Early users get their first five weeks free.

Do my suppliers need to sign up for anything?
No. They reply to your email the way they already do.
What does Emissary read in my mailbox?
It looks for purchase orders in your sent mail and for your suppliers' replies to them.
Does it send anything on its own?
No. Every purchase order and every follow-up waits for your approval.
Does it change my Shopify inventory?
No. Confirmed quantities and dates stay in Emissary for you to act on.
